Position Overview
Kiewit Infrastructure Engineers has an immediate opening for a dynamic Structures Drafter in our growing office in Burnaby, BC. Looking for the ideal candidate to perform a variety of drafting and design support tasks related to bridge and other infrastructure structural projects, and miscellaneous support for construction. The Designer should have a minimal experience in bridge structural engineering plan production, be familiar with current technical tools/programs/software, and CAD production practices.

Our Infrastructure Design Department is growing rapidly and includes the disciplines of structural, geotechnical, civil, drainage, roads, transit and materials.

Location
This role will be based in our Burnaby, BC office.
Responsibilities
Participate in the design and creation of plans in the discipline of Structural Engineering
Produce drawings from design input from engineers according to the client and project standards
Model in 3D, make quantity calculations and assist the technical team in optimizing the design
List and control all documentation produced
Perform all other related tasks that may help in the completion of projects.
Qualifications
4 + years of experience
DEP or AEC in computer-assisted drafting or any other combination of training and equivalent experience;
A strong interest in the field of Structural Engineering (roads, bridges, transportation projects, etc.);
Good command of Autocad and/or Microstation;
Ability to work English, French an asset
