Strategic leadership to a team of recruitment & membership specialists in recruitment, workforce planning and reporting, establishment maintenance, onboarding and offboarding and reporting.

The NSW State Emergency Service (NSW SES) is an emergency and rescue service made up almost entirely of volunteers and supported by a small staff contingent. NSW SES is a key influencer of other emergency service agencies and works closely with these partners to modernise and grow volunteering to save lives and protect communities.

The position provides strategic leadership to a team of recruitment and membership specialists and is responsible for the management of recruitment (executive and non-executive), workforce planning and reporting, establishment maintenance, onboarding and offboarding and reporting. The role reports to the Director of People & Development and works collaboratively with senior leaders across the organisation to maximise opportunities to actively develop and embed innovative talent acquisition and resourcing solutions.

Suitable candidates will have relevant tertiary qualifications in human resources and/or extensive experience in workforce planning in an operationally complex organisation. You will have proficiency in building and maintaining strategic relationships with stakeholders and ability to drive continuous improvement and innovative customer centric service. Experience is required in the provision of reporting requirements pertaining to the employee life cycle and managing large projects.
