Matchtech Looking for Site Engineer at Gatwick, Surrey Full Time

Matchtech are excited to be working alongside a major Tier 1 contractor at Gatwick Airpork, and as result we have a live requirement for an experienced Site Engineer. 

Gatwick station currently experiences significant passenger congestion both at platform level and in the existing station concourse. The project seeks to provide a world class passenger interchange from plane to train.  It will improve passenger experience by providing a new concourse which will reduce congestion, improve vertical circulation and provide an intuitive connection with airport terminals.

Our clients contract with Network Rail is to provide GRIP 3 to 8 services, from concept design through to detailed design, construction, testing and commissioning and handover.

The role: Site Engineer – Railway Civils & Steelwork

Durantion: 12 months+

Location: Gatwick Airport

Reporting to: Senior Engineer

The position available is within the Airport Entrance Team at Gatwick Station Project, focusing on the main steelwork package for the superstructure as well as the civil elements of the Railway Systems package.

Prior experience in either of these disciplines is not a pre-requisite but preferred.

The individual will have a proven track record in delivering under pressure as well as being able to demonstrate good initiative in solving site challenges and being adaptable to all manner of tasks.

Setting out is not a requirement, however CSCS and PTS is essential.

This role is inside of IR35, so a succesful candidate wil need to work under a PAYE or Umbrella model.
