GENERAL SUMMARY

The Talent Acquisition Specialist will assist in the proper staffing of the departments: will meet with members of management and identify job openings, will seek out qualified applicants and encourage them to apply for available positions. A Talent Acquisition Specialist will participate in and shorten the recruitment process from beginning to end; attract and retain quality candidates; coordinate and manage the recruitment activity flow; and assist to develop a superior workforce.

PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS:

RECRUITING Responsibilities:

• Manage iCIMs, the Applicant Tracking System:

• Ensure JSCo is up-to-date with best practices
• Manage all system data
• Update and maintain open positions
• Add and delete users & properties
• Provide a shortlist of qualified candidates to hiring managers;
• Ensure high caliber candidates are seen by all relevant hiring manager;
• Maintain a complete record of screenings, interviews and new hires;
• In System Communication with candidates

• Manage Sterling, Background Check Program

• Manages the Adverse Action process for all regions;
• Follow-up with candidates regarding background checks;
• Provide status to hiring managers

• Work closely with management on all diversity initiatives involving recruitment to ensure fairness in hiring practice
• Use various methods to recruit and network with potential candidates including social media platforms, networking events and job fairs
• Ensure proper onboarding for new hires and the necessary paperwork is completed promptly and accurately
• Conduct preliminary interviews with recruits to gauge interest, personality and salary requirements
• Provide feedback to management about details regarding applications
• Using standardized screening techniques, Assess the skills, qualifications and experience of potential candidates
• Actively work toward building a diverse and qualified team to support the organization
• Identify challenges and implement changes to improve regional recruitment process
• Manage recruitment events, identify new venues & communities
• Manage Employment Page on the company website
• Process Vendor Invoices

SKILLS

• This position relies heavily on interpersonal skills, organization and ability to recruit top talent. Individuals with deep insight into the needs of the company tend to excel in the position of talent acquisition specialist.
• Great communication: Must be able to communicate effectively with employees, senior executives, vendors, and potential candidates. Must be comfortable presenting programs to employee groups and members of senior management. Effective oral and written communication. Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills.
• Strong Ethics and Discretion: Must be a steward of ethics and discretion when it comes to handling sensitive information.
• Detail-oriented: Must be highly detail-oriented, and have the ability to research and interpret data.
• Strong with numbers: Must be numbers-oriented to effectively conduct quantitative analysis. Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment. Must include Excel and demonstrated skills in database management and record keeping.

KNOWLEDGE

• Policies and Regulations — Knowledge of company policies and procedures, federal, state and local laws, government regulations and agency rules that pertain to employment and leave laws.

EXPERIENCE

• At least three years of recruiting experience with guidance;
• Demonstrated knowledge on Microsoft Office Suites: Word, Excel and Outlook are essential
• Familiarity with HR databases, applicant tracking systems and/or candidate management systems (e.g., iCIMS) and Background Check vendor systems (e.g., Sterling)
• Familiarity with social media, especially LinkedIn, Indeed, Ziprecruiter

EDUCATION

Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Business, or equivalent; OR a relevant Associate’s Degree plus four years of related work experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 – $34.00 per hour

COVID-19 considerations:
We follow all CAL-OSHA guidelines, clean and sanitize multiple times per day. Allow hybrid work schedule when possible.
