Opportunity

Olympic Industries is currently searching for a diligent and enthusiastic Data Entry Clerk to join our fun team and contribute to the company’s success through providing administrative and financial support to the Operations Department, spearheading all invoicing functions, and providing inventory management support with our in-house software.

Reporting to the Controller, the Data Entry Clerk will work both in individual and team capacity to support the operations of the company.

Specific Responsibilities

Provide financial, operational, and inventory support within an Olympic specific business segment, including:

• Support the invoicing function of the company and distribute invoices as required.
• Resolve customer enquiries, including issuing debits & credits to resolve discrepancies and answering invoicing-related questions.
• Update and adjust sales orders, including entering orders periodically.
• Assist in the month-end closing procedures.
• Create shipment releases.
• Complete required customs paperwork.
• Provide administrative support to the various Domestic Sales Team including inventory management, accounting, and other operational and clerical duties.

Education and Experience

• Minimum of 2 years administrative or accounting experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with an AS400 system is considered an asset.
• Diploma in a related program such as Office Administration, Business Management, and Forestry is considered an asset.

• Proven ability to complete work in a timely manner with exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.
• Outstanding verbal, written, and visual communication skills.
• A high degree of initiative, work ethic, integrity, and honesty.
• Ability to listen and understand instructions and work independently or with others to complete tasks.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Ability to use strong judgement in analyzing, troubleshooting, and evaluating problems.
• Ability to act with good judgement and discretion: keeping sensitive business data secure.
• Skilled at providing prompt, friendly, and attentive support to Traders and Operations staff.
