Finance Assistants (Scale 5)

2 x Fixed Term contract (12 months)

We’re looking to recruit 2 Finance Officers to be part of teams providing accounting and business support across a range of financial services. These posts present an excellent opportunity to develop your career through gaining experience within the Council’s corporate accountancy service.

We’re looking for enthusiastic people, with a strong customer focus and excellent communication skills. As a Finance Assistant, you’ll be responsible for a range of duties including:

• providing support for a defined range of financial processes, transactions and controls
• providing advice to managers and others on financial procedures
• analyse and prepare financial information in a clear and timely manner.

You’ll need to be able to work effectively on your own but will also be a strong team player. You’ll also need to be comfortable with IT, proficient in the use of MS Excel and financial packages.
