Accountant

Job Description:

We are a growing accounting firm seeking both full-time and part-time staff accountants. Applicants should be outgoing and self-motivated, possess strong communication and analytical skills, and be looking for a wide variety of work experiences and challenges. We serve a vast assortment of entrepreneurial businesses and their owners. Due to our continued growth, we are looking for staff accountants to provide support for our current client base and to grow with us.

Responsibilities:

• Communicate directly with clients regarding routine questions and collect necessary information for tax return and planning projects.
• Prepare C and S corporation, partnership, individual, and gift tax returns
• Assist with calculation and preparation of estimated/extension tax payments
• Assist with income tax issues that may arise
• Assist with tax issues correspondence
• Conduct tax research projects
• Collect data in responding to income tax audits
• Assist in preparation of internal financial statements
• Preparation of quarterly and year end payroll tax returns

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
• 2+ years of experience in public accounting or in tax preparation
• CPA preferred
• Proficient in Quickbooks
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent multi-tasking of projects
• Excellent time management ability
• Ability to work effectively under pressure, in both a team environment and independently
• Ability to handle sensitive/confidential matters in a tactful and discreet manner
• Self-motivated with strong situational awareness

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $50,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
