Bolzoni Auramo Inc Hiring for Cost Accountant Job at Sulligent, AL Full Time

BOLZONI AURAMO Inc. is looking for a ​Cost Accountant who will be responsible for overseeing the ongoing integrity of the cost of sales, and standard cost for the Bolzoni plant and managing the cost accounting function. Other responsibilities include continued development and enhancement of the cost accounting function at Bolzoni, product cost analysis, project accounting, overhead rate development, manufacturing variance analysis, preparation of various analyses for management decision making including operational metrics, serving on cross-functional project teams relating to cost and inventory and directing government reporting and compliance.

Key Accountabilities:

• Develop the cost accounting and reporting function

• Enhance existing manufacturing accounting processes that are inadequate for the expected future production volumes

• Be the owner of the manufacturing accounting function and foster an environment of continuous improvement

• Work with plant management to develop cost metrics and identify areas of cost savings

• Monthly analysis and explanations of manufacturing variances

• Monitor standard costs and manufacturing order variances and ensure GP system is set up properly for this

• Project and government accounting and reporting

• Monitor product cost through Bellwether cost change analysis/Develop and implement year end standard cost uplift

Minimum Qualifications:

• BS degree in Accounting/Finance

• 3+ years of experience in accounting and cost accounting acquired through the performance of similar work in an established manufacturing organization

• Computer/spreadsheet knowledge (SAP and Microsoft Applications)

• Strong analytical skills

• Technical background in inventory and cost accounting methodologies

• Government accounting regulations preferred
