The Role | Reporting to the COO

Responsibilities will include:

• Manage the budgeting and forecasting process and deliver annual budgets and quarterly forecasts. This involves working closely with the Executive Director, COO, Senior Management Team, and business partners to deliver budgets and forecasts adhering to timelines.
• Preparation and dissemination of monthly management reports including analysis, commentary of variances to budget and highlight any risks and opportunities identified.
• Providing regular reports and liaison with management team to ensure budgets are sound and completed within designation timelines and ensuring risk management evaluations are completed annually according to the agreed schedule.
• Manage the month end process.
• Oversight of costing and pricing tools.
• In collaboration with the COO develop the strategic plan for the department to ensure it keeps pace with changes and is meeting customer needs.
• Mentors and manages performance of team members and conducts performance management and appraisal.
• Ensure compliance with all legislative and governance requirements with respect to procurement and contract management activities for the unit.

Candidate Profile

You will be CPA / CA qualified with a minimum of two years post membership experience in a chartered accounting firm and/or a similar organisation. Management experience is essential, as well as the capability to foster a positive culture and climate within the team.
