Finance/Accounting Assistant –

A finance/accounting assistant is needed to help with the general bookkeeping and accounting duties for a local private-label soap manufacturer. Responsibilities include assisting the Corporate Accountant with: daily cash management reporting including intercompany transfers, weekly accounts receivable collections, monthly forecasting and reconciliations, and various tasks in the Accounting department.

The qualified candidate must have a thorough understanding of basic accounting and financial principles and should have various prerequisite skills and qualifications that typically include:

• Meticulous attention to detail and ability to perform tasks with accuracy and efficiency in mind
• Knowledge of MS Excel
• Working knowledge of accounting software; SAGE experience preferred, but not necessary.
• Good organizational and time management skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Strong team player with solid communication skills
• High levels of integrity and ability to handle confidential information

The potential candidate should have an Associates Degree in accounting, finance or similar field. A minimum of 2 years’ experience working in an office in an administrative capacity. Salary commensurate with experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $19.00 per hour
