New York RHB LLC, an agency of the Guardian Life Insurance Co. of America, is seeking an Accounting Assistant to perform daily accounting tasks that will support our financial team. We are looking for an individual that possess a strong background in A/P, A/R & Bank Reconciliations. You must also be able to multi-task and work well in a team setting. Ultimately, you will help our accounting department run smoothly, ensuring transparency and efficiency in all transactions. Accounting Assistant Responsibilities:

• Providing support to the Accounting Department
• Performing basic office tasks, such as filing, scanning, copying, data entry, answering phones, processing the mail, etc.
• Handling communications with clients and vendors via phone, email, and in-person
• A/P – Processing vendor invoices, setup, and inquires
• A/R – monthly agent billing
• Bank Reconciliation for multiple accounts
• Processing transactions, issuing checks, and updating ledgers, budgets, etc.
• Distribution of all monthly vendor, commission and equity agent checks
• Distribution of monthly agent and customer statements
• Distribution of monthly management reports

Accounting Assistant Requirements:

• Associate degree in related field with work experience
• Proficiency with computers and accounting software
• Strong Knowledge of Excel and Word
• Exceptional time management, verbal, and written communication skills
• Familiarity with basic accounting principles
• Professional manner and a strong ethical code
• Ability to multitask, be a self-starter, and remain motivated and positive
• Strong ability to problem solve and follow-up
• Commitment to working efficiently and accurately

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 – $60,000.00 per year
