THE ROLE

As an iOS Software Developer, you will be part of a cross-disciplined team (Product, Engineering, UX and QA) who are driving software products forward for the business. The role will work closely with the UX team and Technical Lead to ensure front-end development is in line with the organisation’s design system and the requirements of UX, Product and the business.

You will be familiar with Agile methodologies and Scrum and adhere to best practices that we have in place. We work in a professional culture, where individuals take ownership and are fastidious and proud of delivering excellence and quality.

You will be a hands-on developer, demonstrating what great code looks like to peers and others, whilst ensuring consistent and high standards are maintained. The iOS Software Developer will develop solutions according to business requirements and in alignment with IT Governance, design, security policies and standards.

You will regularly collaborate with other engineers across the team and across other product areas. This includes being responsible for key projects, technical delivery, user training, acceptance and audits.

The iOS Software Developer will be based at our Head Office within central Manchester, UK, close to many public transport networks, including bus, train and tram.

Requirements:

• A degree level in engineering, mathematics, science, design or computer science, or an equivalent in working experience.
• Experience in Swift, Kotlin and Objective C.
• Knowledge of Unit test frameworks, local DB storage and Apple health kit integration.
• Experience of CI Tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, BitRise.
• Experience of analytics tools such as Firebase and Instabug.

• Has worked within Agile/Scrum teams and Continuous Integration and delivery (CI/CD), with experience of Jira, bitbucket, figma.
• A person of high integrity, consistent in their work, who has a demonstrable calmness under pressure in order to deliver quality software products on time and at the right time.
• Analytical skills: The role requires a high level of analytical skills by its very nature, it requires cross team working and understanding and empathy of various technical areas brought together as one delivery team.
