Jacobs is currently recruiting for summer interns for 2022.
We are looking for students in higher education studying Engineering, Physics, Maths, Software or similar subjects to undertake specific short term projects in mathematical methods development, software engineering, physics modelling and validation.
The nuclear industry is moving away from traditional reactor designs to new small modular reactor (SMR) and advanced modular reactor (AMR) designs, with improved safety features and lower build costs. These new concepts bring exciting new modelling challenges requiring the introduction of innovative new mathematics, physics, engineering and software engineering techniques.
This role will present excellent opportunities for the development of skills and experience in physics and maths, particularly as applied to nuclear engineering.
This role will be based at our Dorchester office with some home working available.
