Currently looking for the following General Education Instructors to join our team.

• College Math,
• English
• Anatomy & Physiology
• Human Diversity
• Physics
• Environmental Science

This individual will conduct, evaluate and deliver course information that will meet standardized requirements for General Education courses. Ensure that students achieve the knowledge and skills needed that will prepare them for specialty courses in their enrolled program. Must be Passionate, Driven, Engaging, Dynamic and Focused on Students success.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Prepare and deliver lecture and lab demonstrations as outlined in curriculum.

· Facilitate class discussions.

· Performs related duties such as advising students on academic progress within the courses being taught and acting as adviser to promote student success..

· Actively participate in faculty staff meetings and in-service trainings.

· Encourages use of support and resources systems including student services, library and other support organizations.

· Seek alternatives to improve student outcomes, reducing attrition and improving retention.

· Track and advise students of their academic and attendance progress.

· Demonstrate effective teaching skills and conduct tutoring sessions as needed.

· Assess student achievement and ensure accuracy of all student records.

· Follow State requirements for Continuing Education Units.

– Actively support campus initiatives, company policies and procedures, and student outcomes.

Job Requirements

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

· Must hold a minimum of a bachelor’s degree with 15 semester hours or 23 quarter hours in the teaching discipline with a grade of at least a ‘C’ in these courses.

· Teaching synchronous online experience preferred.

· Fluent in English

– Bilingual in Spanish a Plus
