Your Role:
There is no typical working week at Flybuys. But here are some of the things you might be working on, day-to-day;
Financial Analysis & Reporting:

• Preparing and analysing periodic project reporting including end-to-end period end adjustment journals, reconciliation of project module data vs general ledger, liaising with Financial Control team for accurate period end closure, variance analysis and commentary.
• Analysis of financial and non-financial KPI periodic results compared to budget and forecast relating to the Product stream, including approved assumptions in forecasts, annual budgets and long-term Strategic/Corporate Planning process.
• Supporting Finance Business Partner (Product) to prepare budgets and monthly or quarterly forecasting.
• Supporting BAU business units in terms of periodic analysis and reporting, forecasting, budgeting and long-term Strategic/Corporate Planning process when required.
• Partner with the wider business to provide decision support such as building, reviewing and commercialising business cases relating to the initiatives under the business road-maps.
• Financial modelling.
• Writing analyses and distributing or presenting to key stakeholders.

Financial Systems:

• Maintaining key financial systems including budgeting & forecasting tool and project reporting tool including project setup, transfer etc.
• Supporting building and maintaining reports in the budgeting & forecasting tool.
• Documenting any process and procedures of the key financial systems.

Continuous Improvement:

• Assist in driving continuous improvement with a key focus on continuous discovery of new capabilities and functionalities of the key financial systems.
• Drive efficiencies by improving finance processes in an Agile environment.
• To work as a team player, influencing and engaging across the business to provide commercial financial support including ongoing analysis, decision support, planning and forecasting.

Your Experience:

• Tertiary Qualifications in Finance or Accounting, and/ or equivalent Industry experience.
• Demonstrated advanced Excel spreadsheet skills in delivering management reports in an accurate and efficient manner, with robust risk controls.
• A track record of demonstrating process improvements.
• Demonstrated abilities to manage the timeline of deliverables whilst meeting stakeholders’ expectations.
• Demonstrated ability to independently identify and resolve financial issues across management reporting and budgeting.
• Commercial mindset with demonstrated ability to explain complex problems in simple terms.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• A track record of proactively engaging with the business to enhance the quality of management reports.
• Accounting Software Knowledge is advantageous – D365 (Microsoft Dynamics, including the project module).
• Budgeting & Forecasting Software Knowledge is advantageous – Calumo (Insight Software).
• Influential skills to drive positive outcomes.
• Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
