Centre for Neuro Skills (CNS) helps people with brain injury find hope, independence and a meaningful life – and you can play a key role in that journey as a Accounts Payable Specialist.

As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will primarily perform all aspects of Accounts Payable processing for all CNS facilities and select physicians utilizing manual data and a computer system. Shift is full time during weekdays. Work is onsite in Bakersfield, CA.

Job Tasks:

Successful maintenance of this position requires a high level of accuracy in terms of documentation, computation, dependability, and an ability to be flexible and adaptable to needs of staff and third party representatives.

• Processing Accounts Payable will include receiving/sorting invoices, matching packing slips/purchase orders, entering purchases to the accounting system, preparing and mailing checks/ACH payments, filing of paid invoices/checks and other documents, handling inquiries and correspondence from vendors and other outside parties, researching information, entering manual checks/payments in the accounting system, maintenance of AP files, etc.
• Reviews and processes expense reports submitted via online programs/systems.
• Maintains petty cash.
• Posts operational and petty cash accounts to the general ledger monthly.
• Obtains IRS reporting documents from outside vendors and processes IRS reporting annually.

REQUIREMENTS:

• High school graduation or G.E.D. required.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in accounts payable as an individual contributor or relevant work experience preferred.
• Experience and knowledge of accounts payable automation systems is required.
• COVID vaccination with booster (when eligible) is required.
