About our group:

The Global Wafer Systems Group is a highly technical team responsible for the design, development, and deployment of systems for Seagate Technologies Wafer organisation.
With a portfolio that includes Factory Information Systems, Manufacturing Execution Systems, Factory Control Systems and Analytics.

The team also delivers Artificial Intelligence (AI)-powered solutions, leading edge visualizations, and rapid deployments. They have won industry awards due to their innovation, best in class systems, and value delivery. The software development function is responsible for development of solutions that integrate with these and other factory information systems helping the organisation to deliver Smart Nano-technology Manufacturing designs and processes to drive industry leading storage solutions.

About the role – you will:

• Build applications that integrate with factory data and control systems
• Work with US and Asia development teams on cross platform development
• Participate in cross-functional teams to solve business problems
• Implementation and testing of software solutions

About you:

• Strong application developer with a desire to develop skillset in an exciting and challenging environment
• Will have excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated with ability to work both independently or collaboratively

Your experience includes:

• Software development experience with exposure to the full software development life cycle
• Knowledge of data formats such as Json & XML
• Experience with REST.
• Experience in the development of SQL
