Job description
The Institute of Education is seeking to recruit successful individuals to our Outstanding team. We are seeking experts who can deliver education to the next generation of secondary humanities teachers and ideally be the programme leader for our PGCE Secondary Humanities route.
The post provides an exciting opportunity to join the forward-looking Institute of Education, with a longstanding reputation for excellence in teacher education. You will be an experienced, skilled practitioner or consultant, with recent experience of secondary teaching and learning, or a lecturer already working in Initial Teacher Education. We are looking for someone who is passionate about education and committed to supporting teacher development.
The successful candidate will contribute to the work of the secondary team, preparing students to teach Geography, History and RE across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5 (Sixth Form).
You will have extensive expertise and experience in Geography or History and will be able to contribute to specialist modules and input to other professional or curriculum areas as required. Where appropriate, you will also take responsibility for participating in, or leading course developments and new initiatives.
