Focal Point Lights Hiring for Finance Manager Job at Chicago, IL Full Time

Focal Point is looking for a Finance Manager to join our Accounting and Finance team! This is an exciting opportunity for someone to grow his/her career at one of the market leaders in the lighting industry, with ambitious development plans. This position reports to the Sr. Director of Finance.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Preparing and maintaining Focal Point’s financial model and monthly forecasts, based on inputs from the business teams and the Operations Finance Manager
• Coordinating the annual budget process, in close collaboration with functional VPs and other key contributors
• Preparing key internal reports and analyses (e.g.: daily sales/orders/quotes flash report, weekly Three-Month Outlook file, monthly product and agent reportings, monthly volume/price analysis)
• Submitting monthly reporting packages, as well as periodic forecasts and budget deliverables, to corporate headquarters, in collaboration with the Accounting team and the Operations Finance Manager
• Partnering with select department VPs (sales, IT, marketing, R&D..) to actively manage budget attainment
• Supporting any ad hoc Focal Point projects or requests from the corporate headquarters

In general, he/she will be expected to:

• Act as an ‘agent of change’ and a trusted partner to Focal Point’s business teams, providing insightful analyses and information that will enhance decision making and profitability
• Be the primary contact point of corporate headquarters in relation to periodic deliverables and related analyses

Education and Experience Required:

• Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Finance or Economics
• At least 6 years of experience in a corporate finance role, or a mix of public accounting and corporate finance
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products

Preferred Qualifications:

• CPA or MBA
• Experience with JD Edwards, Tableau, Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft Access or similar database
• Manufacturing industry experience

Pay: $90,000.00 – $125,000.00 per year
