New and fast-growing tech team looking for a Junior Javascript Developer to come and help push the world’s leading kids bike rental company to the next level.

Note: This role requires working from the office 2 days per week.

The Tech Team

We are the tech team that drives everything online for the Bike Club. From ecommerce, orders, customers and marketing – to interactive features such as bike finders, social tools and many other yet unannounced projects.

We have a lot of exciting things in the pipeline that will involve building web apps, mobile apps and developing other new ways of pushing the Bike Club technology forward, creating a more streamlined and exciting experience for our customers.

We have a fun and inclusive work environment that currently meet in-person 2 days a week at our Fulham office, with plans to move to a more central location later in the year.

You

You will take part in all JS projects, focusing mostly on back-end node applications. You will work with the Senior Javascript Developer, initially providing support and eventually looking after your own projects. You will be excited to work with Node JS and to learn about new libraries and techniques in building back-end software, including APIs and integrations. You will enjoy working with a vibrant group of tech-minded people, contributing to ideas, and enjoying experimenting with new tools and processes.

What You’ll Be Doing

– Working on new Node JS apps alongside senior developers in the team

– Supporting and maintaining existing Node JS applications

– Working to a high level of coding standards and best practices.

– Working closely with other members of the team including the UX Designer and Front-End Developers.

– Help come up with new ideas and features for all Bike Club online products

Your Experience

– 1 year experience in developing with Javascript and Node JS – can include training / courses / real world experience

– Have your own Node JS projects that you can show

– Experience with front-end technologies such as JS/React/Angular/CSS/HTML etc

– Good knowledge of software development principles

– Experience with unit testing Javascript

Nice-to-have Experience

– Experience working with AWS/Vercel/Shopify/other servers and platforms

– Experience working with ecommerce
