Requirements & Competencies:

The Cost Accounting Manager will possess strong knowledge of cost accounting concepts and practice in a standard costing manufacturing environment as well as relevant generally accepted accounting principles and controls over financial reporting.

REQUIREMENTS:

· At least 5 years of experience in cost accounting functions

· Strong working knowledge of standard costing operations and reporting

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Perform routine review and analysis of purchase price variances and related reporting to management

· Analyze cost center and absorption variances and related reporting to management

· Assist with cost analysis and suggested cost savings and efficiency opportunities

· Routine review of Bills of Materials and routing for high volume items

· Participate in time studies and process review with plant management

· Perform close process for all inventory and cost related areas including variance accounting and reconciliation of all inventory related accounts

· Assist with monthly financial reporting requirements and meetings

· Manage annual physical inventory counting process and valuation

· Manage standard cost run process

· Participate in ERP implementation and assist with the development of related procedures and internal controls

· Other accounting responsibilities, as may be assigned from time to time.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $63,873.00 – $100,000.00 per year
