Hays is currently partnered with one of Australia’s leading audio companies to recruit a Financial Accountant in a permanent capacity.

Your new role

This role will be responsible for providing effective finance, tax and accounting support to the business operations; assisting with the preparation of statutory reporting; ensuring compliance with applicable tax legislation as it applies to company financial functions and being involved with general accounting and day-to-day tasks.

Responsibilities will include:

• Perform Month end process for all entities
• Completion Balance sheet Reconciliations
• Ensure the integrity of the general ledger
• Statutory payments including FBT, BAS, IAS’s & Payroll tax
• Answer month end queries from internal stakeholders
• Provide analysis support where required
• P&L reconciliations
• Assist in the preparation of year end Audit file
• Assist statutory account preparation and corporate tax calculations
• Managing the Fixed Asset Register
• Managing our AASB16 (Leasing Standard) obligations
• Bank Authorisations

What you’ll need to succeed

To be considered for this role, you will have:

• Relevant tertiary qualification in accounting, finance, or business.
• Qualified CPA/CA
• Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to engage with multiple stakeholders with competing interests to achieve desired outcomes.
• Attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.

What you’ll get in return

This role offers you an attractive annual salary of $80-$85k plus super, full time hours and a permanent ongoing contract. Flexible working arrangements may also be available.
