Your new role

Your role will support the team with :

• Completion of external financial reporting, together with internal accounting systems and processes.
• Undertaking financial planning, budgeting and detailed performance reporting
• Proactively engage with the Audit Risk and Compliance Committee, NSW Treasury, the NSW Audit Office, and other agencies
• Review and maintain the financial reporting framework to ensure it meets stakeholder needs and organisational objectives.
• Develop, implement and manage systems, policies and procedures to ensure timely, appropriate high quality financial information is available to internal and external stakeholders.
• Lead, develop and manage the resources and work program of the Corporate Finance, Budgeting and External Reporting teams to ensure high performance customer-focused environment.
• Provide expert advice to the Director, Financial Performance and Investments, on the overall financial and operational performance of the Corporate Finance, Management and External Reporting teams

What you’ll need to succeed

• Tertiary qualifications and knowledge, skills and experience in a relevant discipline or industry such as finance, business management, commerce, and/or accounting.
• CA and/or CPA qualification and membership
• Understanding of NSW government and NSWTG’s key services and client base.
• Up to date COVID-19 vaccination status and able to provide acceptable proof
