About us
The International Office drives progress against strategic objectives to increase international student enrolment, partnerships and mobility. The Office collaborates with Faculties and Schools with a focus on expanding international onshore recruitment, student mobility and development of new and existing priority international partnerships that encompass agent networks, student mobility and staff exchange.
Your role
As the International Student Recruitment Officer, you will contribute to various recruitment activities and initiatives to attract international students to the University.
Key responsibilities

• Recruit international students in accordance with University policies and strategies and the ESOS Act regulations.
• Coordinate and ensure appropriate and timely follow up to prospective international student enquiries, including those from events and agents.
• Provide accurate advice to prospective international students in relation to their career and study options.
• Conduct information sessions for agents and prospective international students.
• Operate as a liaison between the University and prospective students and education providers in relevant offshore markets, and onshore as required.
• Assist in the coordination and execution of international recruitment, marketing and advertising strategies and assist in the preparation of program marketing material.
• Assist international applicants in the preparation of application documentation; and provide application and admission documentation, corresponding with prospective Students, ensuring that application/enrolment documentation meet University requirements;
• Arrange interviews with Prospective Students, and conducting interviews (as directed);
• Monitor application and enrolments numbers and actively progress and develop International Student numbers in line with University targets.

About you (selection criteria)

• A degree qualification and/or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or training.
• Demonstrated organisational skills with problem-solving attributes and sound judgement.
• Ability to work in a flexible, dynamic environment with competing priorities to meet deadlines.
• Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to work productively and cooperatively within a multidisciplinary team and with a broad range of stakeholders.
• A strong customer service focus to achieve quality outcomes, including the ability to handle and effectively manage difficult customer situations and stakeholders.
• Proven record of preparing high quality documentation with accuracy and dealing appropriately with confidential information.
• Capacity to coordinate office administration systems and competency in various software packages, including the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Demonstrated knowledge or ability to acquire knowledge of departmental procedures to provide advice or effectively carrying out a broad range of administrative duties.
