You are invited to apply for the position of Project Engineer (Energy and Carbon) for a renowned principal contractor who are a market leader within their industry. With multiple operating sites across the UK, they specialise across a multitude of sectors including, civil engineering, highways, rail and infrastructure. Due to an increase in workflow, our client requires an Engineering Project Manager to join their expanding team in Leicester.

Duties & responsibilities;

• Manage all associated risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies of their project(s) and regular reports using the appropriate methodologies on progress and escalate key items.
• Provide Capex operational, commercial and technical support to the business throughout with problem resolution with internal customers and external organisations
• Offer technical support, recommendations and advice to the Procurement team.
• Manage the project from inception to completion and through to stabilisation and delivery of efficiencies as per the project plan
• Manage the relationship with the client and all key stakeholders
• Develop a detailed project plan and track progress

Required to be successful;

• Educated to degree level, HNC, HND or equivalent
• Project or Programme Management qualification or qualified by experience
• Extensive knowledge of project planning, implementation and management utilising recognised project
• Experience in managing project budgets with the ability to put in place and maintain full financial control during the project lifecycle
• Willing to travel to various sites as and when required
