Bliss Digital Hiring for Digital Designer Job at Remote Full Time

If you’re a creative with an eye for web design, this could be the role for you. Working with our talented development team and our lovely charity and nonprofit clients, you’ll have space to create beautiful work and grow personally and professionally.

Summary

• Salary: Depending on talent, skills and experience. Bliss use a salary banding system to encourage fairness and transparency.
• Start date: Flexible, but ideally before end of May.
• Location: Bliss is a remote-first agency, so this is a home-based role. However, we would prefer UK-based candidates so that we can meet to collaborate and socialise. See the Remote-First section below for more information.
• Hours: 5 days per week is preferred, but part time applications will be considered. Bliss operates a flexible working policy.
• Ideal experience: We’re looking for more than 3 years’ commercial experience, but talented Juniors will also be considered.

We’re looking for a talented designer that understands how to create websites that look great and provide great experiences.

We don’t care whether you’re a creative front-end developer or a graphic designer with an eye for digital – if you’ve got the talent, we want to hear from you.

The ideal candidate will be able to work well on their own, without a Creative Director breathing down their neck. However, we can provide direction and training when you need it – we are a collective that loves to collaborate and improve ourselves.

Skills and Experience
You don’t have to have all of these, but these attributes describe our ideal candidate:

• Creative talent – you’ll know how to use space, type, colour and imagery to make things look great!
• The ability to design interfaces that provide users with a great experience.
• Experience using design software such as Sketch, Figma or Adobe Creative Suite.
• Ability to demonstrate understanding and approaches to UXD. How to compile sitemaps, wireframes, personas, etc.
• Desire to constantly improve and experiment. We want our whole team to help drive us forward.
• Commitment to the values that define Bliss – goodness, openness and harmony.

Bonus skills:

• Experience using HTML and CSS to build interfaces. This isn’t necessary, but we can always find a place for a hybrid designer/developer, or just someone that knows how websites work under the hood.
• Experience working with charities and non-profits, either as a designer or a volunteer.
• Clear speaking and writing abilities – the ability and willingness to communicate with clients and the rest of the team.
• Agency experience – preferably a fast moving digital agency.

Remote-first
