The Healthcare Education Team (HET) has C. 170 staff members, comprising of the Senior Leadership Team, Business Management Team, 3 x Trainee Management Teams and the Recruitment Team.
HET is a fundamental part of the organisation, taking on the responsibility for the administrative support for recruitment, training, assessment and rotation of doctors and dentists in training across the whole of London and Kent, Surrey and Sussex, as well as sharing our expertise to support allied health professionals and the regional healthcare providers.
Operation Managers are responsible for effective planning, managing and delivery of workstreams and programmes to ensure successful delivery.
You will work in an interesting and varied role, with key duties primarily focused on medical and dental functions, including supporting recruitment events, trainee doctor’s assessment processes, maintaining systems, specialised support activity, projects and liaising with a variety of stakeholders.
You will have significant experience of co-ordinating projects in complex and challenging environments, have a strong understanding of the complexities of the NHS and demonstrable experience in a healthcare environment. Strong communication skills are essential; you must be comfortable conversing with senior stakeholders with high level influencing and negotiation skills, and an ability to motivate a team.
You must be able to plan over short, medium and long-term time frames and be able to adjust plans and resources accordingly.

Secondments
Applicants from within the NHS will be offered on a secondment basis only, agreement should be obtained from their employer prior to submitting the application.
Salary progression
Applicants will commence at the bottom of Band 7 with a full-time starting salary of £47,154, with pay step increases after 2 years’ service and 5 years’ service. These salaries are offered in accordance with NHS Terms and Conditions and the HEE Pay Progression Policy and are subject to annual cost of living review.
