Purpose

The Talent Acquisition Specialist will collaborate with department managers on a regular basis and proactively identify future hiring needs. Should also be able to attract candidates using various sources, like social media networks, job boards, and employee referrals.

Functions

• Source candidates using a variety of search methods to build a robust candidate pipeline.
• Screen candidates by reviewing resumes and job applications and performing phone screenings.
• Develop job postings, job descriptions, and position requirements.
• Perform reference checks as needed.
• Facilitate the offer process by extending the offer and negotiating employment terms.
• Manage the overall interview, selection, and closing process.
• Ability to manage a wide range of relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Evaluate applicants by discussing job requirements and applicant qualifications with managers and interviewing applicants on a consistent set of qualifications.
• Arranges management interviews.

Qualifications

Associate degree in Human Resources (HR), Business Administration, or a related field, plus three to five years’ experience as Recruiter required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

REQUIRED

• 3-5 years of exempt and non-exempt recruiting experience in a full life-cycle environment, including management of multiple high-volume roles simultaneously.
• Working knowledge of applicant tracking systems
• Working knowledge utilizing job boards, social media, and college sites for recruitment
• Pre-screening skills
• Professionalism, organization, and project management skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office

Working Conditions

This position is considered OFFICE WORK which is characterized as follows.

• Almost exclusively indoors during the day and occasionally at night
• Occasional exposure to airborne dust in the workplace
• Worksurface is stable (flat)
