Position Overview

Talent Acquisition Partner is a newly created role, salaried exempt, and reports to the Director of Talent Management. If you have an entrepreneurial spirit and looking for an opportunity to create something from nothing, this is the opportunity! This role will be critical to our growth and you will be closely collaborating with senior leaders in recruiting a wide range of positions for the company’s new venture of building single-family home rentals – Announcement. The Talent Acquisition Partner will also assist the Talent Management team in building out the talent acquisition systems, reporting and process, so your opinions and experience matter.

In your experience, you have sourced a variety of leadership roles inclusive of acquisitions, construction, development, acquisitions, and other corporate support functions. You have also been there and done that and are ready to help build a best-in-class, full lifecycle recruiting practice. You have used an assortment of recruiting platforms, social media, and Boolean searches. If you know what Boolean means, we’re off to a good start!

What You Will Do

• Conduct full-cycle recruiting that includes partnering with managers to build job descriptions, identifying sourcing channels, screening resumes, scheduling and conducting pre-screen and initial interviews, organizing interview schedules, coaching hiring managers, and making offers while ensuring a quality candidate experience.
• Serve as the primary contact for senior executives of our “BTR” (build-to-rent) housing division (and at times other divisions) to assist in their staffing plan and building job descriptions that accurately reflect the responsibilities, experience, and skillset required for a position.

• Develop and implement recruitment outreach and pipeline strategies that target passive, active, and diverse candidates through social media, job boards, direct sourcing, employee referrals, digital marketing, participation in job fairs, and industry conferences to ensure a diverse and highly qualified applicant pool.
• Evaluate the quality and quantity of sources that provide an opportunity to bring forth diverse candidates of underrepresented communities to the talent and recommend innovative practices or channels or resources that can be utilized.
• Collaborate with the Director of Talent Management to determine when the use of an external search firm is required for a position that is hard-to-fill, or the talent pool is not meeting the qualifications of the position.
• Collaborate with the Talent Management team to design and implement best-in-class systems and processes for the hiring managers that make our recruitment efforts efficient.
• Utilize the Paycom HRIS to its maximum potential, which will help streamline the recruitment processes, and identify qualified candidates for the open positions, while making recommendations for improvements when needed.
• Build, distribute and maintain funnel and success reporting metrics/KPI’s.
• Partner with Talent Development to share your behavioral-based interviewing expertise with hiring managers by providing training and coaching opportunities within the company.
• Know the ins and outs of each position being sourced to make objective decisions when screening resumes, discussing job requirements, applicant qualifications to ensure applicants are interviewed on a consistent set of qualifications and creates a diverse slate of candidates.
• Utilize ATS data to identify trends associated with key performance indicators and metrics that help better our service level to candidates and business partners and identify remedies to improve upon our metrics.
• Ensure the company is always compliant with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations through our recruitment and hiring practices.
• Willingness to jump in and help the team with needs that may not be directly related to your job responsibilities – all for one, one for all.

Ideally, you’ll have

• At least three (3) years of recruiting experience, preferably in a start-up or high growth setting
• At least one (1) year of recruiting within any of the following industries, real estate development, construction, or acquisitions with an emphasis on executive recruitment
• You have a passion for attracting and acquiring top talent and enjoy the responsibility of delivering an extraordinary recruitment service
• Experience managing multiple searches, and sourcing strategies for passive candidates
• Advanced knowledge in setting up and utilizing an ATS, assessment tools, and online sourcing
• Adaptable interpersonal skills for a variety of stakeholders from peers to senior executives
