In this role, they will serve as the software lead and the Scrum master running their team(s) in an agile framework. Team(s) will rely on them to be their servant leader, who will humbly aid the lead in their mission to deliver value through their work. They must empower teams, promote self-organization, remove impediments, and coach effectively. They will lead their team(s) to solve problems in novel and flexible ways. Our team lead must drive Agile and Lean frameworks that result in quality product delivery and continuous improvement. They must communicate with management effectively, efficiently, and with clarity.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry or equivalent industry experience.
• 5+ years of experience with software development and understanding of software languages that includes C, C++, or C#.
• Experience with application development for Windows.
• Advanced Android development and architecture experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of Scrum master experience for software development teams.
• Experience working in an agile environment using Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), Large Scale Scrum (LeSS), or other scaled agile model (if no experience, then a certification for one of the scaled agile frameworks).
• Expertise with communication protocols, such as Ethernet, TCP/IP, RS-232.
• Outstanding communication, facilitation, negotiation, and coaching skills.
• Experience leading and coaching Agile and DevOps and/or site reliability teams.

• Experience leading distributed/virtual teams.
• Understanding of software development life cycle models as well as in-depth knowledge of traditional project management principles and practices.
• Growth mindset, learning mindset, strategic thinking.
• Proven effective communication with Senior Project Management and customer representatives is essential.

Responsibilities:

• Provides expert guidance with a variety of software engineering concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Coordinate directions from Project and/or System Engineering Department Manager.
• Drives consistent standards, tools, and best practices across development, testing, performance engineering, and/or application/production support functions with the overall goal of improving application reliability.
• Responsible for developing creative options and alternate development/release strategies for meeting aggressive goals in terms of time to market in a very fast paced and dynamic environment.
• As a leader and coach, facilitate all agile ceremonies for two agile teams.
• Guide and coach agile teams on best use of agile practices.
• Foster an environment for high-performing team dynamics, continuous flow, and relentless improvement.
• Solve impediments for the team or report unsolvable impediments to the project owner.
• Represent the team to management.
• The Scrum Master builds and maintains a trusting and safe environment where problems and issues can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged.
• As a servant leader, the scrum master protects the team from external distractions, allowing the team to focus on the work to which they have committed.

Pay: £56,556.00-£120,000.00 per year
