We are looking to hire an experienced Finance Manager to join our CFO Function on a 9 month FTC basis. Working in the Accounting and Control Centre of Excellence function you will be a key member of the Supplier Funding team with accountability around the Controls and processes underpinning the supplier funding revenue budget for the UK (c£150m).

This role will offer the chance to gain an in-depth understanding of the groups back margin operations, working closely with various internal stakeholders including the Category Buying team, Supply Chain, Marketing and Finance. You will have visibility of the end to end process from contract negotiations to ensuring cash is recoverable at the end of the agreed activity. This role is an opportunity for the right candidate to learn and fully understand the operations of the Curry’s business.

As part of this role, you’ll be responsible for:

• Ensuring that the Supplier Funding process adheres to a strict Control framework with DOA and Key minimum controls being fully adopted
• Ensuring accurate reporting of supplier funding accounts. Working closely with stakeholders & Brno team to streamline processes and build better understanding of the Accounting and control CoE function
• Supporting the production & review of monthly balance sheet reconciliations for all Supplier funding accounts.
• Supporting the Commercial Finance Business partner to build motivating yet challenging budgets/ short-term reforecasts
• Providing detailed understanding and insight on monthly results
• Mentoring one Grad Trainee accountant to support and develop further into the Curry’s business
• Driving process improvement through developing new ideas to enhance existing controls

You will have:

• Strong academics and Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA or ACA) with 1-2 years PQE (Newly Qualified Accountants will be considered)
• Experience of operating within an Accounting department, preferably at a large complex organisation
• Highly organised and structured, ability to forward plan to ensure personal and team deadlines are achieved
• Ability to influence senior business partners to challenge business performance
• Proactive, positively seeks new ways of working and seeks to lead by example
• Maintains professional standards under pressure and is highly credible
