Weston Foods Hiring for Shipper at Calgary, AB Full Time

WAGE: $18.50 / hour, plus night shift premium of $0.90 from 7:00PM to 6:00AM

SHIFT: Should be available for all shifts and timings. Length of shifts can vary from 8 hours to 12 hours. Usual shift starts at 3:00AM (flexibility with working overtime and on weekends, as necessary)

Our bakery team is the heart of our company and plays an important role in keeping North America’s food supply going. Our Shippers/Receivers are important members of the supply chain network and play a critical role in the distribution of our goods across North America.

In a typical day you will:
Work in the warehouse and in/out of the freezer, operating a Stand-up and/or Counter Balance forklift, and pallet walk-behind.

Move stacks of bread from the shipping area into the trailers using a dolly.

Move empty stacks of bread trays from the trailer into the plant using a dolly.

Organize production floor, freezer & aisles (maintain required number of trays for packaging & finished products)

Pick orders and fill trailer in correct order.

Complete all paperwork including forklift daily inspection and conduct food safety checks on trailer.

About You:
Be a lover of bread and baked goods!

You have an excellent understanding of warehouse Shipping/Receiving procedures and equipment.

You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, are self-reliant, and be energized by opportunities to learn and grow, and be a steward of your own career

Have solid mathematical and computer skills

Forklift license and knowledge of SAP an advantage

Have previous experience in a manufacturing environment (even better if it was food manufacturing!)
