Accounting Clerk

Accounting Clerk Job Description:

We have a full-time opening in our office for an Accounting/Accounts Payable Clerk. Candidate must possess telephone skills, excellent computer skills, organizational skills, and have a very positive attitude.

Accounting Clerk Work Specifics:

Hourly Position: $18 per hour

Hours: Monday – Friday hours

About Tri Star Engines and Transmissions:

Tri Star Engines has been a leader in re-manufactured engines for almost 30 years. We design and build new and re-manufactured engines for all types of Original Equipment replacement, high performance, marine, industrial and racing applications. We are growing fast and are expanding our facility!

Accounting Clerk Work Responsibilities:

– Processing paperwork on a computer (invoices, shipments, etc.)

– Matching invoices to packing slips

– Data entry and problem resolution of invoices/packing slips, working with purchasing and receiving

– Statement reconciliation at month end

– Filing and keeping invoices and packing slips organized

-Posting daily credit card deposits to customer accounts

Accounting Clerk Work Experience Required:

– Telephone customer service of some capacity

– Experience with Microsoft Office and general computer experience required, CRM experience is helpful

Accounting Clerk Work Skills Required:

– A professional, positive, energetic, and flexible attitude

– Excellent organizational and prioritization skills

– Excellent computer skills

– Superior verbal and written communication skills

– Ability to work in an environment with competing deadlines and changing priorities

– Exhibit excellent dependability and ability to maintain confidentiality

– Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks at any given time

– Detail oriented

– Self-motivation and serious drive to succeed

Accounting Clerk Work Requirements:

-sitting at a desk for most of the workday

-use of bookkeeping databases, spreadsheets, and software

-knowledge of basic accounting functions

-general computer work including typing and looking at a monitor for most of the workday

– Working in a fast paced and stressful environment with competing deadlines and changing priorities

– Using problem solving skills to fix problems
