Sichelman Family Hiring for Reading-Writing Tutor-Teacher for 2nd Grader Job at San Diego, CA Full Time

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced reading and writing tutor for our 2nd grade son. He is well above-average for his grade level in these areas, but we think he can excel even further with an outstanding tutor once per week for a few hours (and one short assignment for him to complete during the week). We would also like you work with our younger son (who is 5) on basic reading and writing skills for about 30-45 minutes each visit.

Hours

Monday (from 3:30-6:00 pm or 4:00-6:30 pm, at your election). We cannot change the day or time slots.

Tutor Requirements

**College degree/teaching credential preferred

**Must be very reliable and generally come every week (vacations during holiday periods and other occasional vacations or emergency situations are of course expected)

Salary

$50.00/hour (yearly raises); bonuses

Time Frame

After a trial session, we would like to have you tutor our sons on a regular basis, including summers, and ideally for the long-term.

COVID-19 considerations:
The first floor of our house is very open with high ceilings and many sliding glass doors and is fully ventilated. Tutoring can also be done on a covered patio. However, we request you not wear a mask during the sessions so that communication is ideal.
