Grain Millers, Inc. Hiring for Quality and Food Safety Specialist at Yorkton, SK Full Time

Our Canadian division, located in Yorkton, Sask. is accepting applications for a Quality and Food Safety Specialist.

It will be the responsibility of this position to establish and maintain the Food Safety Plan, evaluating its effectiveness, identifying training needs and is to be a support resource to operations to ensure compliance with food safety standards. You are responsible for production trials and product start-ups and will be required to participate in audits and conduct product traceability while working in compliance with all regulatory bodies.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 4 year college degree in Food Sciences or experience in regulated food manufacturing facility is preferred.
• Background in Quality Control or Quality Assurance with GFSI experience (SQF or BRC preferred).
• Must be a team player, highly customer focused with strong communication skills.
• Ability to work in a grain processing environment which exposes staff to allergens such as, but not limited to, grain and grain dust.
