Fast growing VC Backed online hospitality business based in London is currently recruiting for a Financial Controller. This is an excellent opportunity working for a business looking to scale aggressively over the next 12-18 months including further international expansion with a clear pathway to Finance Director. You’ll have full oversight over the accounting function reporting directly into the CFO. In a fast-growth environment, the business needs evolve fast, so you’ll be proactively driving change & improvements as the business scales. Responsibilities will include:

• Manage the day-to-day accounting, supported by accountants
• Consolidated reporting for subsidiaries
• Oversee financial reporting, including monthly management accounts and statutory reporting
• Build robust financial controls & ensure strong financial governance
• Support other internal functions with reporting & financial analysis & procedures
• Oversee tax management (VAT, tax credits) & tax planning, liaising with tax advisors
• Improve and upgrade financial systems as required
• Implement improvements to financial processes across the business
• Work with tech team on continuous improvement of reporting & dashboards

The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with previous experience working in either the food and eCommerce sectors; experience of working both large and scale-up businesses would also be extremely desirable.
