What we are looking for

We are looking for two Business Analysts (contract) to join our team of skilled technical professionals and leaders to deliver high quality products and services to our customers. This individual must be an effective communicator as this position requires close collaboration with the client and stakeholders.

Relationship Management

Develop and maintain relationships with other functional teams to ensure smooth delivery of releases

Ensure appropriate collaboration within the Product Team and across groups outside of the team to ensure our collective success

Support & Coordination

Determine operational objectives by studying business functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats

Lead workshops to gather and analyze requirements and construct workflow charts and diagrams; study system capabilities; write specifications

Clearly document and organize technical requirements through writing and updating stories in the Product Backlog

Commit to focus to deliver initiatives and items prioritized in the Product Backlog

Responsible to ensure standardized processes are followed, and be an advocate for Scrum and related ceremonies

Continuous Improvement Initiatives

Assess overall process and submit ideas to introduce efficiencies that will help improve the process and/or the quality of deliverables

Required Skills and Experience:
5+ years experience in business analysis

Experience working in mixed philosophy (Agile, Waterfall, Iterative etc) software development environment

Excellent communication (written, oral, and listening)

Strong technical, analytical and creative thinking abilities

Good understanding of business processes and rules and how they apply to business success

Exceptional motivation with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment

Strong presentation and facilitation skills at various levels of the organization

Able to acknowledge, embrace, and adapt easily to change

Able to quickly learn new business and technical concepts

Comfortable to work in an open, highly collaborative, fast-pace, ever changing team environment

Work well under pressure to meet specific deadlines

Nice to have:
Degree or equivalent in an IT-related discipline

Business analyst certification such as CBAP or PMI-PBA

These roles would be up to 6 months, subject to extension. Contract rates vary between $80-100/hour depending on experience.
