Speno Rail Maintenance Hiring for Accountant Job at Perth Full Time

Speno Rail Maintenance a world leader in the rail detection, rectification, servicing and maintenance industry are seeking a motivated and conscientious Accountant to join their small team located in their head office at Perth Airport to fill a 12 month casual/fulltime role to cover 12 months maternity leave.

All applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Degree qualified
• 1-4 years’ work-related experience in a commercial environment
• Able to commit to a 12 month+ contract
• Strong multi-tasking and prioritizing abilities
• Able to work 7:30am – 4pm or 8am – 4.30pm
• Excellent attention to detail
• Professional, presentable, reliable and time efficient.

Skills and Experience

• Salaried payroll, Super, Payroll Tax and PAYG
• Preparation of Annual Statutory Accounts
• Preparation of Annual FBT Return
• Preparation and analysis of Financial Accounts
• Raising of Sales Invoices
• Excellent computer and literacy skills (excel specifically).
• Preparation of month end reporting.
• Reconciliations
• BAS Reporting
• Systems experience; Microsoft GP / Excel, Concur, HR3 (or similar).

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Accounts Receivable: Processing Invoices, Monthly statements, and invoice queries.
• Payroll: Preparation of all mid-monthly & monthly payroll (AUS/NZ) including payroll. tax, superannuation, PAYG tax and payroll deductions for approx. 300 staff using HR3.
• Preparation and payment of monthly PAYG payments to the ATO & NZ Revenue Department.
• Produce monthly Report Pack including financial and non-financial data.
• Conduct business analysis and report to management on findings and business improvement.
• Produce annual audited statutory accounts.
• Produce quarterly reports for Speno International.
• Annual FBT return.
• Assist with annual taxation information and reporting.
• Assist with any R&D reporting requirements.
• Along with the CFO approve daily, weekly and monthly payments.
• Foreign currency transaction processing, payment, and reconciliation.
• Asset Management
• Update/maintain company asset schedules.
• Assist with the control of company stock. and internal/external audits when required.
• Assist with new customer pricing and re-pricing of existing customers.
• Calculation of annual CPI price increases.
• Budgeting
• Assisting the CFO in producing the annual financial budget with focus on revenue, assets and staffing requirements, and monthly business forecasts.
• Any other required ad-hoc general accounting, finance, and taxation activities.
• General assistance to CFO and senior managers as required.
