These posts will be employed on a regular working pattern to cover

Monday – Friday 5pm – 11pm

Saturday and Sunday 9am – 9pm

We are looking for self-motivated individuals, with experience of advisory work on a one-to-one basis, to provide out of hours advice and support to our students on evenings and/or weekends.

Responsibilities will include responding to student support enquiries and crisis situations, making decisions in high-risk or complex cases, providing evening/weekend student support appointments, liaising with organisations such as the NHS and Cleveland Police, contributing to the development of crisis management policies and monitoring the effectiveness of the service.

Applicants will be educated to degree level or will hold a comparable amount of learning and experience and will be registered with a relevant professional body and will have experience of multi-agency working and of managing a caseload. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are paramount, as are strong planning and organisational skills plus the ability to work both independently and also as part of a team.

To provide advice, information and organise support out of hours for a diverse range of students. Leading the evening and weekend out of hours response to complex welfare incidents with the assistance of other out of hours colleagues and ensuring an appropriate escalation process is followed.
