Financial Analyst

JOB LOCATION: This is a Hybrid schedule, with fully remote work options.

JOB PURPOSE:

Create and analyze financial reporting to assist the W.E. Aubuchon Co., Inc Leadership team in making well informed & strategic decisions

JOB SUMMARY:

Provides support to the Accounting & Finance and Leadership teams in the generation of accurate and actionable reporting.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
1) Create and present modeling and reporting
2) Create pro forma financial statements for potential store acquisitions
3) Take part in the month-end close and ensure compliance to monthly/quarterly/annual close schedule
4) Analyze financial data and provide forecasting and annual budgeting support
5) Suggest improvements in processes to increase effectiveness of the department
6) Review monthly income statement performance vs forecast with store management team
7) Track outstanding receivables and perform collection activities
8) Produce weekly & monthly reports, which include key metrics, financial results, and variance reporting

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
1) Enroll in continued education classes and utilize on-line resources to keep skills current
2) Ad-Hoc project management

SPECIAL SKILLS/TRAINING
1) Strong knowledge and experience of account reconciliations, month-end close and year-end close
2) Robust modeling and reporting experience
3) Advanced Excel experience. Strong fluency with formulas and functions
4) Understanding of data mining tools
5) Demonstrate a passion for gaining new skills
6) Time management skills
7) Ability to work independently in a fast-paced deadline driven environment
8) Self-motivated with strong problem solving and analytical skills
9) Strong attention to detail and accuracy
10) Excellent interpersonal skills and a positive attitude
11) Professional written and verbal communication skills
12) ERP experience preferred
13) Tableau experience preferred
