CONSTRUCTION LOAN COMPLIANCE ACCOUNTANT

Bonaventure specializes in multifamily asset management, development, and redevelopment, primarily in the Mid-Atlantic and Southeastern US. Bonaventure is fully integrated to oversee every phase of the acquisition, management, and disposition of our properties.

Responsibilities

Preparation of required documentation necessary for compliance with HUD loans

Set up and maintenance of individual construction jobs in MRI

Enter initial budgets and any revisions

Review pay applications and invoices for proper coding and approvals

Enter pay applications and invoices associated with each project

Accurately record funding received

Creation of journal entries as needed

Produce budget vs. actual cost comparison reports monthly

Produce other reports and financial statements as directed

Assist Development team with analysis and monitoring of project budget

Special projects as assigned

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required

Minimum 2 years of construction accounting or loan draw experience, desired

Experience with Job Cost system preferred

Proficiency with Word and Excel

Ability to identify and solve problems

Detail oriented.

The ability to work independently without significant, direct supervision and handle multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize as needed.

Effective written and verbal communication skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $34,392.00 – $95,000.00 per year
