Duties

Can Manage and lead group of assembly workers

Participate in meetings with Fabrication team to ensure product is build to code

Assemble components as required for the construction of HVAC equipment

Fully understand construction drawings and blueprint diagrams to build HVAC units

Organize and prioritize daily work load with workers

Train new team members

Provide solutions to problems within the department.

Quality Control of product before product leaves on site.

Fabricate and assemble metal products

Measuring, cutting, grinding, all necessary components together, perform a quality check, and update supervisor on progress.

Use of hand and power tools

Components range from small parts to large parts for assembling

Components range from 5lbs to 50lbs depending on the job (cranes available throughout the shop for heavy items).

Assist other workers within the department to complete urgent tasks safely

Detail each unit before shipping

Build crates

Follow codes, regulations and accepted safety practices

Meet all company, governmental, and equipment related safety requirements

General Maintenance

And other duties as assigned by Management

The work is most rewarding for those who enjoy working with little direction or supervision. People in this field also enjoy variety in a job as well as security.

To be successful in this trade must have:
Experience in manufacturing

Experience in construction of HVAC units

The ability to work with little supervision

The skill to diagnose problems

The ability to use proper lifting techniques for items weighing up to -and more than- 25 kilogram

The ability to deal courteously with employees

Must own tools including drill and grinder – can also purchase commercial tools through the Employee program

Must be a team player and work with other departments

Ability and willingness to learn

Must have First Aid Certificate

Forklift Certificate

Crane Certificate
