About The Role

Role Type: Permanent, Full-time

This is an exciting Analyst, Research & Analysis role in a dynamic team with a fantastic established client base and strong reputation in the market. The client portfolio includes a diverse group of publicly listed, wholesale and privately owned property groups including developers and investors across residential, retail, commercial, industrial and hotels.

Research & Analysis is primarily responsible for identifying and effectively managing risks inherent in the asset class/project in the client’s business model and industry. Research & Analysis is also responsible for identifying and managing risks inherent in the client’s capital and management structure, and emerging performance results. The primary activities of the role cover:

Client/asset/project performance & risk evaluation & mitigation strategies

Prepare quality credit papers

Conduct financial analysis and industry research

Risk grade event management

Liaise with clients and Credit on risk and financial performance related matters, including covenant compliance and risk grade review events

Liaise with credit executives on an on-going basis

Deal documentation

Well Managed portfolio controls

As an Analyst, you will assist the Manager/Senior Manager/Associate Director (Research & Analysis) to complete the broader credit assessment function and ensure an optimal ‘well managed’ portfolio. You will also liaise with the client in regards to day-to-day requirements.

What will you bring?

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have skills, knowledge and experience in the following:

Demonstrated experience in Banking/Finance

Tertiary qualifications, preferably in Commerce, Business, Accounting or Economics

Experience in customer management and broad knowledge of processes and procedures. Strong client handling and interpersonal skills

Demonstrated financial analysis skills going beyond traditional accounting based analysis

Sound credit skills with the ability to present a well-motivated risk assessment and business proposition

Sound communication skills and strong understanding of Microsoft Office products
