We might have just the thing for you. We’re looking for a Talent Acquisition Coordinator to join our team on a 6-month fixed term contract. This is a great role to get involved in lots of different aspects of talent acquisition – from recruitment and careers events, to Diversity and Inclusion.

A small but busy team, Talent Acquisition sits within the wider HR and Recruitment team, and specifically look after programmes, projects and initiatives that find new talent for the business, as well as supporting the recruitment team with hiring inclusively.

In particular, this role will support with one of our key programmes – The Summer Internships, which give participants an eight-week experience working in publishing. You’ll also have the opportunity to get involved with planning for the broad range of talent projects that we work on.

You can look forward to a fast-moving and varied day, which will likely include a mix of the following activities:

• Supporting the Talent Acquisition manager to create an inclusive, enjoyable and successful Summer Intern Programme
• Getting creative with writing copy for the internship website and communications for the Summer Intern programme – making sure that the information is clear, engaging and fun.
• Scheduling the rotas and invitations for our interview events – making sure that the day runs smoothly with interviews, activities and workshops.
• Managing and supporting the applicants on the programme, making sure that they know about the next steps, and helping to prepare them so they can do the best job possible.
• Helping to create tasks and assessments that are accessible and enjoyable for the candidates, and allows them to demonstrate their skills.
• Acting as first point of contact for queries from both external candidates and internal managers, referring, or escalating as needed.

And there will be lots of other projects on the go where there’s plenty of opportunity to flex your creative muscle and make a difference, whilst keeping everything ticking over.

What we’re looking for

• Some co-ordination/administrative experience and demonstrable organisational skills. This doesn’t need to come from an HR role or recruitment, you could have been running events, or managing small projects before.
• Proactivity – you need to have the ability to look ahead and have a problem solving approach
• Good communication skills, being thoughtful about how best to manage candidates as they undergo a recruitment process
• Willingness to learn, get stuck in and help out
• Ability to work at pace, balancing multiple tasks and timelines, whilst paying attention to the detail
