The Opportunity
As a senior member of Council’s Data and Integration team, and reporting to the Enterprise Architect, your role will broadly span across project assignments and day-to-day operational activities. As part of your role, you will be responsible for the following:
- Develop new or maintain the existing integration service components, and perform administrative tasks on the integration platform;
- Participate in all aspects of solution delivery life cycle including analysis, estimation, design, coding, testing, production deployment, and support;
- Apply standard integration patterns and practice to designing and building of integration services to ensure they are fit for purpose, secure, scalable and maintainable;
- Conduct effective design workshop, communicate findings and design options for decision making.
- Design and publish REST API using open standard mark-up language; and,
- Conduct research, develop proof of concept, demonstrate and communicate findings.
Skills & Experience
A seasoned developer, you will be digital platform savvy and community-minded and passionate about using your skills to make a difference. With a strong technical foundation, you will be an excellent communicator with strong teamwork, relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills. You will possess a tertiary degree in Computer Science or related field, with demonstrable experience in the following:
- Substantial working experience in a successful application integration development role;
- Developing integration service on iPaaS platform such as Oracle Integration Cloud, Dell Boomi or MuleSoft;
- Contemporary integration component design, common enterprise integration design patterns and when to apply them;
- Experience in authoring REST API specification, as well as build and deploy public REST API; and,
- Knowledge of OAuth and other standard digital identity management protocols and frameworks.
