NY LLC Hiring for Special Education Content Specialist at Remote Full Time

The Content Specialist for Polaris participates in the development, production and maintenance of Polaris content and related connections to other n2y solutions. Polaris is n2y’s newest solution, setting the new standard for effortless, effective collaboration throughout every stage of the IEP process: planning, writing, executing, and reporting. Responsibilities include analysis of current needs, outlining short and long-term content plans, as well as writing content related to specific areas of educational need (including but not limited to academics, adaptive/functional, social emotional learning, and communication), ensuring accuracy, quality and adherence to guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, write and edit content within Polaris (including but not limited to IEP goals, profiles, resources, administration guides) that is consistent with current trends and research in the special education field.
• Stay up to date on trends in special education related to IEPs, compliance, progress monitoring, standards, and instructional practices.
• Edit and perform final checks on content to ensure high quality, accurate and error free materials.
• Collaborate, communicate effectively, and work closely with the Polaris and Alignment teams to audit and maintain content alignment to state and national educational standards.
• Actively participate and contribute as part of a collaborative team to set short and long-term goals and strategies in team meetings.
• Consistently work within a product management system to set and meet all project deadlines.
• Create and monitor schedules, meet deadlines, report status and assist in planning and leading meetings.
• Provide input and collaborate within the Polaris team to inform solution vision to develop features and content that meet customer and business needs.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Special Education, Psychology or a related field.
• Experience related to differentiated instruction, pedagogy, assessment and classroom practice in special education.
• Knowledge and experience with school-related compliance processes and documentation, including Individual Education Programs and Behavior Intervention Plans.
• Familiarity with state and national educational standards and ability to create instructional activities that align to standards.
• Experience, ease and interest in using a variety of educational technology solutions to streamline and enhance daily practices.
• Strong initiative and ability to plan, organize, manage and coordinate a variety of projects and tasks and meet timelines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to collaborate with others.
• Travel estimated to be 1-5%.
