West Harlem Head Start Hiring for Education Director Job at New York, NY Full Time

The Early Childhood Education Director is responsible for all aspects of the education program to include development of classroom settings for children ages 6weeks to 4 years of age; supervises and provides training for all teaching personnel; develops curriculum and provides educational resources for staff and parents; coordinates disabilities services as they pertain to all early childhood program models. The Early Childhood Education Director promotes school readiness of children by providing technical assistance, mentoring, and training to teachers, home educators and family childcare coordinators as it pertains to the overall education program. The planning involves culturally responsive, integrated service delivery of child development, disabilities, mental health that supports learning environments to: 1) enhance children’s cognitive, social, and emotional development and 2) promote children’s growth in language, literacy, mathematics, science, social and emotional development, creative arts, physical development and approaches to learning.

Desired Qualifications: Master’s Degree Early in Childhood Education; NYS Initial Certification, Early Childhood Education, Birth through Grade 2; Five years or more experience working as a lead teacher in an early childhood environment preferably Head Start; Certified CLASS Observer for infants, toddlers, and Pre-K.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: Up to $98,000.00 per year
