The role:
A full time Student & Academic Administrator post has arisen in the Department of Student and Academic Administration (DSAA), working in the Cross Faculty Support Office (CFSO). The CFSO is responsible for administration of Collaborative courses across the five Faculties, providing a single point of administrative contact within the University for the Partner. The Collaborative courses provide a diverse learning environment that lead to a University of Portsmouth award whilst studying at a Partner institution.
The CFSO Student & Academic Administrators are responsible for administrative support for a Partner and its courses and modules in support of academic and administrative staff, and students. They undertake responsibilities such as administration of student assessments, progression and award administration, and examination boards.
The person:
The successful candidates will have a high degree of professionalism, good communication and interpersonal skills, focused on delivering an excellent service to partners and other stakeholders. They will have a high level of attention to detail and proven experience of working independently as well as part of a team.
Strong analytical and data handling skills are necessary for this role. Duties require the use of multiple corporate systems, databases, spreadsheets and Google documents, so excellent administration skills are essential. The successful candidate will join a friendly team that places a very strong emphasis on efficiency and excellent service in all aspects of our work.
The department:
The DSAA supports in the region of 300 staff who all provide a critical administrative function across the University for students and academic staff. The Department is responsible for all aspects of student and academic administration from student admissions to graduation.
