We are looking for a Business Intelligence Lead to join the Data Warehouse team in Sydney. The BI Lead will provide leadership and guidance across the organisation for business intelligence reporting. This is a hands-on role creating business intelligence artefacts and maintaining BI infrastructure. You will partner closely with business and engineering teams in understanding strategic objectives and delivering BI solutions. As a leader within the team, you will provide technical leadership to the team regarding BI platforms and solutions.

What you’ll do as a BI Lead:

• Help Symbio in creating a data driven environment by leveraging the latest BI tools and technologies
• Be the go-to person for BI and drive new initiatives and process improvements
• Develop stable and secure BI reporting solutions
• Always leave BI artefacts in a better state than they were and ensure your solutions are adequately tested
• Design generic datasets that can be used by multiple reports/dashboards
• Interpret complex data in ways that will contribute to achieve overall business objectives of the organisation
• Communicate with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements, identify data sets and build reporting solutions that meet those requirements
• Liaise with stakeholders to assist with data-related issues

What you’ll need to succeed:

• 5+ years in the BI space and demonstrated experience as Data Analyst/BA.
• Experience in data analysis, visualisation and business analysis.
• Proficient in BI tools, specifically Tableau and PowerBI and strong SQL skills
• Experience developing business performance reports and dashboards for senior management.
• Experience leading BI projects from initiation to production deployment
• Excellent communication skills and troubleshooting skills
• Experience with AWS cloud platform
• Ability to continually automate manual processes to drive efficiency
• You continually self learn and improve your skillset
• You are curious, tenacious, creative, and a great team player
• Demonstrated initiative and customer focus approach
• Degree in Data Science (or equivalent) is desirable
