Senior Drainage Design Engineer

We are currently dealing with a global leader in transport and mobility, who are searching for a Senior Drainage Design Engineer to join their busy highways & infrastructure team in Newcastle. You will have the opportunity to work on nationally based projects and collaborate with other major design offices in the traffic and planning sectors.

In the role of Senior Drainage Design Engineer, you will be contributing, and leading aspects of preliminary through detailed design for drainage, water and wastewater networks. You will also be collaborating with planning authorities and obtaining statutory approvals. Furthermore, you will also be expected to support the development and progression of junior team members.

Job Description:

–          Have a Civil Engineering degree
–          Strong technical knowledge with industry standard software, such as Windes/MicroDrainage, PDS, HEC-RAS, or others
–          Excellent communication skills, with experience negotiating with clients, team members, and other stakeholders
–          Ideally experienced in a range of sectors, such as private developments, major highway schemes, or local authority works.
–          Contribute to tender and bid preparations
–          Ensure successful project delivery in line with cost, quality, time, and other requirements.

This is a permanent position to join a leading consultancy as a Senior Drainage Design Engineer in the Newcastle region.

With a split working week in practice, this would be a great opportunity for a Drainage engineer in Sunderland, Middlesbrough, Durham or Morpeth.
